Camera shake-

To create a camera shake you must set the shutter speed to 1 second, but must also adjust the aperture to balance out the light getting into the lens. Once this has been done you must shake the camera up and down to create the blur on the image this adds a scary effect.
Mise-en-scene- This technique added with the background and costumes adds a scary effect which could be used to add fear and emotion in the image. The black background adds to this effect and creates a dangerous feeling for the viewer, also the blank yet scared expression the model has adds to this effect even further.
In the images that we tried to recreate and test, I believe that it could of gone better as this was our first time attempting this form of photography. The images turned out better than expected as we struggled to begin with, this was due to our skills with the features of a camera.

Abstract Motion Blur-

For this technique it is good to try a few different shutter speeds but a good recommendation is to begin with 1/500 and then increase upwards. For this technique you zoom in and out in a fast pace to add this affect. Its also best to use a tripod or if you feel like not using one then it doesn’t really effect the quality of image.
Mise-En-Scene- Using this technique it will allow you to add a horror effect, especially when trying to shoot for things such as depression and death. In this image the silhouettes that are being used adds mystery and a sense of danger as it is the fear of the unknown and leaves you wondering whats about to happen. The blur thats being used also gives you the opportunity to focus into one character which is used a lot of the time in horror movies.
The images that we created turned out good as it was my first time trying something like this, there is still room in which I can improve as the images aren’t the best quality that I believe I could produce. I believe that with more practice in future projects I could become pretty good with this technique.

Ghosting-

For this technique tripod is required as the shutter speed will need to be set at a minimum of 4 seconds as it is needed to see the movement throughout the image. It is also required that an adjustment to the ISO will need to be done as the images will have a really high exposure so it will need to be balanced out.
Mise-En-Scene- In this image there is a dark them being used this could suggest loneliness and anxiety as everyone around the model is moving at a fast pace but he is stood still with a blank/scared expression. The model is wearing black clothes which could show the sadness and darkness that he may be feeling. I believe that the light above his head could suggest that there is always a light to make you feel better no matter how dark and sad you may feel.
In the images that I created we were able to produce the end product to good quality but I believe that there is a lot of room for improvement. I would love to try this again in different ways in future projects so I will be able to practice and make my skills using this technique better. Below are the pictures that I produced.

Facial Blur-

For this technique a tripod is required as the shutter speed will need to be long so that you can create the blur around the head, the model must only move his/her face to create the blur in the one place. Also you could get the model to move their hands add to the blur effect even further.
Mise-En-Scene- For this technique you can create a moody/ scary scene, the photographer In this image has made the viewer feel emotions such as sad and depression because this what I believe this image has tried to achieve. The expression the model has on her face portrays sadness and darkness also the dark tones that have been used adds to this effect further.
In the images I created I was able to create a theme of depression and also I was able to create a theme of suicide as the model (who was Izzy) put her hands around her neck to show this and make the theme even more prominent. There is more room for improvement for this test as I would like to practice and take this technique even further.
