This moodboard which I created is inspired by the 60s with vintage theme and the colours that best represent this time period. The group and I will use this moodboard throughout the production stage of our project, this will allow us to be able stick to a theme. We also included the food that will be shown in our images and video.

Throughout the 60s the theme of pastel colours is prominent through this time period and it also fits the fashion and the colours that were being worn throughout this time.

This time period had many upsides but also many down sides, one of the down sides included the attitudes toward the LGBT community in which gay men and lesbian women were persecuted for simply being who they were, this lead to the Stonewall riots which shaped the way that future LGBT community members (including me) were perceived by the governments and citizens of the world excluding certain countries and communities.

An upside of this time period was the evolution of fashion this was a huge step forward in the fashion industry as new styles developed and new communities created these, some of these include the hipster style, the mini skirts become a huge trend which took over for women fashion for many years. I also believe that this was the time period where a lot of people were beginning to become more open minded towards fashion and also towards different community’s, but this was only the beginning of the long road towards acceptance.

This week we have been set a challenge to create a video and photos that is based around aesthetic.

Considering this, we decided to use donuts for our photoshoot and chicken nuggets for our video shoot. The group I am with have decided to go of site for part of the day to collect our props and research into the different types of food we have decided to use.

Towards the middle of the day (after collecting our props) we will begin with shooting process in which we have booked out the studio to film and take photos, we have also booked a dolly to help us film as smooth as possible and allow us to produce a video to the highest quality.

We decided to use these foods as they are pleasing to the eye, and also we have many more options with using them on how we can place and use them.

As a team we decided the we should use makeup and lipstick as part of the shoot. We also decided to use me as the model wearing the makeup to show that not only women can wear makeup and it is universal.

The theme of the photoshoot is pink as they will match the donuts, it will also match the theme that we are decided to aim, that theme is retro 60s as its an interesting theme for us to achieve and its also a all time classic for house hold adverts so we decided to change this into food.

On the 8th of January 2019 me and my team decided to go of site to collect props and other materials for our challenge, this will occur from 9:00 am to 11:45 am, this time will be used sensibly to further our project to the next level.

Our plan for the donut shoot is to create a Tumblr inspired picture that has become popular in food photography. This theme uses lights, flowers, books and cups these things are mostly popular with teens with more of a indie style.

The plan with the video shoot is to create more of a short advert style video that will use lights. The lights will be used in the last clip as it will go from normal nuggets with no fairy lights to chicken nuggets with fairy lights around them to fit the quote that I created which says “Nuggets light up your life”. This quote is used to show how the nuggets bring joy into your life and almost add a warm feeling for the person eating.
